Default Question about maximizing warrior damage output.

For a warrior using only strength and a weapon attribute, what combination of runes will give them the greatest damage output? For example, a sword warrior with 12 strength and 12 swordsmanship, which combonation will create the highest damage? 12+3 Stength and 12+2 Sword? 12+1 Stength and 12+4 sword? Assume that there are some special attacks coming from each attribute. Thanks.

It still depends on which skills you're using, but almost always, weapon mastery > strength. At higher levels, both have negligible effects on your normal attacks, but the weapon mastery is better assuming you're using a reasonable amount of that weapon's skills.

And if you want damage, use an axe, not a sword.

Not really sure what you were getting at... or how what you said is even related to the topic. However, swords and axes have the same attack rate.

I would get you weapon attribute to 16 and strength at 13. Unless you want to sacrifice another 75 hp for 15 strength, which imo isn't worth it.

While I'm in this thread, I have a question similar to Neo-LD's re: att distributions.

I'm currently running a snare-based sword War/Elem in PvP with 12 swordsmanship (+2 rune), 12 strength (+1 rune and +1 hat), and 11 water magic (to maximize Frozen Burst, which is the only Elem skill I'm running). If I can get a noticable bit more damage by jacking up swdsmanship and toning down strength, what's a better attribute distribution to go with?

Bear in mind I only have a minor Str and a major Swd rune to work with at present.
